I was literally in bed for 3 days straight. I have never been as sick as I was a couple of days ago, and it was during the worst time. I'm supposed to be rehearsing 24/7 with my DJ (Styles Davis) because in the next couple of weeks I should be having showcase sets with many of the major record labels on the east coast. I'm very excited about everything that's going on, but I never get too excited because it is such a long process and so many different channels that have to be passed through. None the less, I’m allowed to be excited because I could have never imagined being this close to my goal of getting a major record deal. Just fact that I am even a consideration is an honor.

Besides that the next big thing that has got me excited is hearing that my homies from 2am Club (Marc and Tyler) will be back in Hollywood from New York in a couple of weeks. I miss those guys like crazy! They're my true brothers and in the midst of me planning a trip to visit them out in New Yiddy, we found out they'd be here (LA) for recording! All things happen 4 a reason. I wish something like that could happen and I could get back to Australia!! HAHA.

The Spader team sent me some of the new Spader Gear and I'm really looking 4ward to rockin it around the Hollywood streets. The weather is getting warmer and warmer so the girls are wearing less and less - ALWAYS A GOOD THING!!

As promised here's an exclusive song and video that I did for the Golden State Warriors (professional basketball team in the states). The song is entitled "The City", produced by Nic Nac. It was an honour to be able to contribute the music and a small performance piece for their highlight reel, I grew up watching them and becoming not only a huge fan of the team, but of the sport. Basketball is my 1st love but music is my baby tho ; )

live, laugh, and love....

Mark Jenkins is an American artist known for the street installations he creates using packing tape. How would a Spader tee look made from packing tape? Might have to wait on that one.

Z-Trip is one of the biggest DJs of our time, considered by many to be a founder of the mash-up movement, his musical tastes are eclectic and his mixing style rejects simple classification.

No other DJ can claim playing to 500,000 people opening for the Rolling Stones and playing the Bonaroo main stage to over 70,000 people 2 years in a row. He's also a master of the remix, with a stand out re-working of The Jackson 5's "I Want You Back" on "Motown Remixed". Now that’s a Spader DJ!

The Spader team was fortunate enough to witness Z-Trip in action at the Transit Bar, Canberra. Below is a pick of the man himself rocking his Spader tee.

Hey everybody!
First off big up to Spader Clothing! yay! So exciting!
nothing like a little fashion and music ; ) haha
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Che'nelle, I'm an artist signed to Capitol Records, I've been there for three years! Wow time flies!

Anyway!! The past few months have been awesome, I was just in Barbados for the BMA's (music awards) which I felt was such a privilege to be at! I had a chance to collaborate with some of the artists there like Peter Ram who can turn the vibe up more then a notch, he's crazy! lol I love him.

I did a lot of travelling the past year going back and forth to Japan heaps because of the endorsement I did with a lingerie company called peach john. That lead to the release of my new song there called "First Love". I also went back to Malaysia and Australia of course, had to represent! lol

Just before the end of 08 I went to LA and linked up with a bunch of producers and writers - "Stereotypes" who produced 'Damage' for Danity Kane, they were awesome to work with, The Jackie Boys - fabulous writers and so were the - Woodworks whose done stuff for Joe and Jahiem. Colby O'donis wrote a smash hit for me called "Razor" which leaked out !! And I ain't mad haha.
Check it out!

If your wondering why it's called "Stranger" because that was the first version we did, but Akon decided to call it “Razor” so we changed it and took it to a whole new level. If u want to hear that go to my page: - add the song to your page ;) if u like it of course hahaa -

ALRITE! Its 2009 peoples! What’s ahead?? Well a lot! This year is the year! Collaborations, performances and of course more travelling. I'm planing to be constantly writing this year with writers and producers, getting into that new world of just creating and vibing & touring!! I've recently upgraded my equipment too so I'm excited! I'm sure there’s so much more that’s going be happening! ; ))

Keep the positivity up, live life to the fullest, stay productive, focus and treat people the way u want to be treated!!

Make sure you constantly check out what’s new with Spader and support because they got some fresh sh#% hahaha

Lots of love

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! From YM the Kidd!!

2008 was crazy for me. Looking back on it now, I have to say I've been so blessed to be able to experience the people and places of 08. I lived in 4 different cities, had shows everywhere from Seattle, New York, Atlanta, back to Cali and I went out of the country for my 1st tour in Australia. IT'S BEEN GREAT!! All I have are positive memories of nights with my boys from 2am Club after crazy shows and patting baby kangaroos at the zoo in OZ. Even though some of my memories haven't been so pleasant, I know that what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger and I'm going into 2009 stronger than I could have ever imagined...

With that being said, I'm still in the bay recording demo tracks getting ready to go back to Hollywood for the on slot of meetings and label discussions. Things are getting very exciting and I can feel the closeness of success brewing underneath all of this hard work and crazy travelling I've been doing (back and forth from the Bay to LA like 3 times in the last 4 weeks). The life of a true Spader!

Any who, I had a meeting with a really talented and well known director, Colin Tilley, about starting a treatment for a song that I just might let all my Spader homies get a sneak preview of sometimes soon...

But that's for another time!! haha I know I know, teasing sucks right? Oh well, stay tuned and keep it Spader!

Much Love, and please chase your dreams this year

Marc Griffin (lead singer) speaks:

2AM for the New Year!!!!

What's up everybody,

2008 has been perhaps the best year of my life. My 2AM Club family and I broke through that unconquerable wall of signed bandom and got a major record deal. It took a lot to get here, and trust me we all know this is only the beginning.

When I think about what I am thankful for from 2008, I realize that whatever my bands level of success, we always have fun together. It has been hard at times, some tempers have flared, but overall we have faith in something we create together, that's what it's all about.
There is something special that happens when a group of people get together and put their team first, I'm so grateful to be a part of that.

I would give a list of our New Years goals but life never seems to work like that, we're just gonna keep writing the best songs we can and see where this crazy ride takes us. Much love to everyone who helped us out this year, fans, friends, and family.

I'll be rooftop NYCing when the ball drops, HOLLAIR!!!!

Marc Griffin
