TAMARAMA INTERVIEW

Aussie group Tamarama which consists of the duo Jay and Pottsy are spreading their infectious style of surf rock/pop to the masses.. After releasing their first EP in 2008 the two Spaders have finished recording their debut LP in New York City with acclaimed producer David Kahne (Sublime, the Strokes, Sugar Ray). The album has just hit the streets and we got the chance to chat with Pottsy before the boys got on the road for their US tour.



What did you dream of being when you were a kid?
I wanted to be a movie director

What are you doing now in your life?
Keeping busy! mostly doing gigs and all that goes on in between!



What has been the best advice given to you to about surviving the entertainment industry?
Dont listen to what anyone says, just do your own thing and people will respect that.

Where do you get your inspiration from?
life experiences and mother nature

Describe your style to us?
laid back



Describe your clothing outfit when you go out?
Vans, ksubi jeans, plain tshirt, open shirt over the top..

What item of clothing would you like to see brought back?
Everything comes back eventually whether you like it or not!



Who is a person that has been an inspiration to you?
John Lennon, for all that the changes he was able to bring to society through his music particularly with the Vietnam war.

Jessica Hart
